Surgery is complete

We just talked to the surgeon and he said Mia's surgery went pretty much as expected. He said her pulmonary valve was very narrow. He was able to save her pulmonary valve but in doing so the pressure around her heart is at 70% but he expects it to drop in the next few days. He said a good pressure would be around 40%. If the pressure does not drop he said she would need a pacemaker. My mind will not even go there yet because I am believing that her healing starts NOW! We should be able to see her in the next 20 minutes or so. I am mentally preparing myself for how I will see my little girl. Please continue to keep Mia in your prayers! I am believing for a miraculous recovery for Miss Mia!

Hi Melinda,
Have been out all day but thinking about you and precious Mia and praying for her surgery. So thrilled to see she is through the operation and now her healing can really begin! Great they could save her valve. Ruby has a bovine (cow) valve as hers was too tiny.
Get ready for Mia to have huge appetite when she is up and about!! Ruby has been stacking on weight and had major catch up to do after her surgery in January.
I pray for a speedy recovery and peace for all your family.

Praying for you and Mia. I pray that God works miracles and allows sweet Mia to recover without the need for a pacemaker.

May God continue to give you peace through Mia's recovery!

Melinda,
Im so happy to hear the surgery is over and she did well. Dont worry about how she looks, by tomorrow most all the tubes will be gone. I was in your shoes less than a week ago.

I'm praying for you all!

What a miracle little Mia is and a blessing she is able to receive the family & medical care she desperately needed to live a long, beautiful life.

Hugs to you during this really hard time as a parent (I'll be there myself in the few weeks), it's so difficult to see your child go through what they must.
