Resting

Mia is still on the ventilator but they are begining to wean it down again today. Yesterday they were able to wean her down to a low setting but then she wasn't tolerating it very well. It seemed to me to be a little premature for all that she has been through. The plan is to very slowly wean her off it so it may be tommorow before they are able to extubate. One of her chest tubes is out. She looks really good and is sleeping peacefully. One of the nurses put a small yellow bow in her hair. She looks adorable!

Thinking and praying for Mia's continued healing. She's been through so much. I hope this weekend is a good one for all of you.

As much as you probably don't want to post her pictures on the blog, do take some. We have lots of pictures to share with Josie someday of her various surgeries.

Lots of (((hugs))!!

Oh...what sweet tenderness that little bow brings! I am so glad that she is resting peacefully. Praying that you can find deep rest as you walk through today.

Glad she's resting well and hopefully you'll get some rest yourself! I'm sure she looks adorable with her little yellow bow. Will pray for God's continued healing for little Miss Mia. Caleb and I said a prayer together last night especially for little Mia so I'll have to tell him the good report! Take care and will hope for a better weekend! Hugs! Jeanie

Praying that Mia continues to heal well. What a sweet touch by the nurse to top your 'sleeping beauty' with a bow! :)

Be sure to get yourself some rest while she sleeps, too. You've all been through SO much...I can't wait to see you on the other side of this celebrating and enjoying everyday life!

Have a blessed weekend, Melinda!! <><

Hugs,
Tanya

Our daughter Xiaohua (age 7) has TOF too, it was corrected in China on Dec. 15, 2003. We adopted her a year ago and she is perfectly healthy! We have a yearly heart exam at Strong Children's Hospital and her doctor is so pleased.
You can see how active she is on our website:
