A Big step backwards

Mia started to have trouble breathing last night so she is back on the ventilator. The left lung has some collapse in it and there might also be some fluid. It came as quite a shock this morning as we went to bed being told that her lungs sounded great. After a night of her babbling and calling "mama" I sobbed the hardest I have since being here at this news. Before they reintubated her she was holding her blanket and the doctors took it from her and gave it to me. She reached out her little hand for it and I had to leave the room, blanket in hand. We are still waiting on the results of the chest x-ray to see what the plan of action is. I will keep everyone posted but in the meantime, pray hard that she is able to quickly overcome this setback.

I've been praying for God to take Mia in His arms and restore her strength and heal her little body. Melinda, I was teary eyed listening to your mom today at soccer with explaining all of the ups and downs, and thinking of how difficult this is for you seeing her go through all of this. You are strong and God knew you'd be the best mom for Mia, especially now. Mia is a strong little girl and God will help her get through this!! The boys were so sweet when they told me about Mia, I can tell how much they love her! Please call if you need anything...hugs to you all! Jeanie

Lord,
We lift up little Mia right now. Thank you that rYou are the great Physician and that You know every hair on her beautiful head and every cell in her body. Lord, please fill her lungs with fresh healing air and make her little body strong. Thank you that she is walking this surrounded by love and prayers. Please also carry her mama and daddy, let them feel Your hand upon them and see You moving. Lord I again pray for peace that passes ALL understanding to saturate this situation. Heal sweet Mia Lord. Thank you that she and her family do not walk alone.
