Out of recovery and back in her room

The procedure went great and Mia is back to to her happy and smiling self. She was playing with a styrofoam cup and oxygen tube when I first saw her. The next couple of days will determine if the procedure worked. I am praying hard that it does.

I am leaving the hospital for the weekend and will return on Sunday. My mom is staying with her tonight and Dan will stay with her tommorow. I am looking forward to spending some time with the boys and sleeping in my own bed. Other than that I could care less if I do much else because I am exhausted and really just want to enjoy the comforts of home if only for a few days!

So happy to hear that Mia is smiling again, poor little thing with going through so much but being so good to endure it all! I too hope this chapter of her life gets done and the next one can begin with enjoying her family who loves her so much! My thoughts and prayers are with you, Dan and your parent to continue to give you the strength to get through this. God will see little Mia through this!! He certainly watched over her in China so she could come here and get the best care and family that she needed! Hope you get some good rest and enjoy the boys this weekend. Hugs!

I am so happy that the procedure went well. I know you know this would not be an easy road but Mia is right where God wants her. She will continue to be in my prayers.

Praise God she made it through and you were able to be there with her, as agonizing as it was for you. I believe I posted previously that I had a collapsed lung right before we went to China to bring home our Emma (now 5 years old). It was the second time this had happened to me and as I am reading your post, I am realizing this is essentially what they did to me...inducing some irritation to increase scarring on the outside of the lung which strengthens it so it could not collapse anymore...the doctor asked me afterward if I was still speaking to him! But 4 years later it has not happened again. This will be the best thing for sweet Mia, I pray. God knew she needed a special mama to stand beside her through that--imagine--He chose YOU. Enjoy the comforts of home and I hope you get some good rest!!!

What a brave little girl Mia is...she has been through SO much! I just pray that this is all behind her and that she heals up more and more each day... NO more surgeries!

And so glad that you are able to get away for some much needed R&R at home with the boys this weekend. It will be good for ALL of you!!

Blessings and Hugs! <><

Just spent last night and all day today with precious Mia. It is amazing how many compliments she got on how beautiful she is and what a sweet personality and smile she has. I took her for rides in the wagon today and people would stop constantly and remark how pretty and precious she is. I get the biggest kick out of her-she loves music and I will do silly little dances and she imitates me and giggles. She is absolutely adorable. Hilton Head is my favorite place to be and this week we were suppose to be there on vacation but Mia, Grandma wants you to know that Hilton Head doesn't hold a candle to you. It was worth giving up vacation to spend time with you-You are this huge beautiful light in my life-You inspire and amaze me with your spirit. God has special plans for you. And I hope one of those plans is for you to come home next weeek!!! Love you Grandma

I sit here with tears in my eyes as I read about dear Mia and her precious family. Praying for a total successful outcome of the procedure and home very soon. Also praying for rest and refilling time this weekend for mommy and daddy and family.

Melinda...I have been thinking of you this morning and came across this scripture from The Message:
Isaiah 41:10
I pulled you in from all ver the world, called you in from every dark corner of the earth, I'm telling you, "You're my servant, serving on my side. I've picked you. I haven't dropped you." Don't panic. I'm with you. There's no need to fear for I'm your God. I'll give you strength. I'll help you. I'll hold you steady, keep a firm grip on you."

Hugs & Prayers!
