Mia's first photo shoot

I took Mia to have her first professional pictures taken today. Her red velvet dress matched her ivory cardigan sweater that matched her ivory tights with the tiny red bow on the back of her little ankle. She had a coordinating red velvet bow in her hair and shiny black shoes on to complete "the look". Yet the only added accessory you will find in her pictures is the red hairbow! Our photo session started out a little bumpy with Mia crying at the sight of the poor photographer. Tears streaming down her face (and dress!) and I thought there was no way we were going to get a decent photo. As I started to "de-accessorize" her she slowly warmed up and we got some great smiles out of her!

I am really happy with her pictures! So happy that all six of us get to do it again in a couple weeks when we return for family pictures!

Josie is bare-legged and bare-armed in her Christmas photoshoot THIS year. Too funny. Our girls are kindred spirits. Hugs!!

My husband went to school with you at St. Pius X, and I've been meaning to make you the offer since you were in the PICU! If not before the holidays, maybe next year some time? Consider the offer always open! Your boys and princess mia, we'd have so much fun!

You would never know that she was having a hard time! She looks perfectly happy and also VERY adorable!!! Anna kinda did the same thing (fussing, not super happy, clingy), but we ended up getting some GREAT photos!

You really did get some precious photos, though... despite the accessory mishap!! ;) On the bright side, maybe Mia won't be as scared next time you go back as a family...she's already had a little time to warm up! Such a hunny!!

Those little china girls LOVE to be nakey...I think it stems from all the layers they had to wear at one time? Pictures are so adorable, she is a sweetheart...I did mine in the backyard with the boys and they wouldn't stop laughing or hitting each other. Abby was great...hmmmm....

Oh, what beautiful pictures. She looks so happy and so healthy. How funny that she wanted to take off her sweater, shoes, and tights. She has very cute little feet. Love the comment about the bundling!

Yes, our little China girls look amazing in red, don't they!? Funny we have them in almost identical dresses!
Have a lovely Thanksgiving.

She looks just too adorable! I love seeing her little feet, it will be a memory for you to tell her someday on why she didn't get to accessorize that day! Can't wait to see the family pics!
